Legal internships are offered to first, second or third year law students in my Washington, D.C. office. You may apply for either a summer internship or a semester internship in the fall or spring. The positions are unpaid and are available as either full or part-time positions (inquire with specific concerns to the Internship Coordinator of my Washington, D.C. office).
Legal interns work directly with my permanent Judiciary Committee staff on legislation, hearings, court appointments and other issues that fall under jurisdiction of the Judiciary Committee, and the Constitution Subcommittee in particular. A legal internship working with myself and my Constitution Subcommittee staff will give you the opportunity to apply and sharpen your legal skills through intensive writing and research, review and analysis of legislation, as well as attendance and assistance at Judiciary hearings on timely Constitutional and other legal issues.
